Dont want to sound too much like a nut, but think about this. I heard on democracy now that the invasion has been planned for a year!!!! sounds familiar? They had this israeli army officer going around talking about the invasion was a power point presentation going around showing it to "diplopmats, journalists and think tanks"(san francisco chronicle http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2006/07/21/MNG2QK396D1.DTL ). I wonder who those people were, lay you dollars to donuts that most were right wing christian nuts, also wonder why none of those reporters didnt break the story sooner? If anyone gets a copy of that powerpoint presentation please post a link to it.

Ok they have been planning this for a year, hmm just in time for the elections! If this doesnt look like what a evangalical christian thinks the end times looks like, then I dont what does. Prediction, there are going to squeeze out those last few crazy christians that have not hopped on the bandwagon yet.

The message being "its on mutherfucker", meaning we are going to do what we want in the middle east and there is nothing you can do about it. Also heard on democracy now that we are shipping israel tons of missiles and bombs to help with the invasion. Also israel said that this will take a long time. Yea, israel is going to occupy lebanon. That is going to help things in the middle east so much, like throwing a lighted match into a gasoline soaked fireworks factory.

You know there are a good number of native born christians in lebanon, in fact several very old sects dating back to the start of christianity(see footnote). I wonder if americans would support this invasion if they knew that? Of course they would, those christians arent the right shade. I wonder how many Lebanese christians have and are going to be harassed at the airport and elsewhere. I know this sounds like something a christian would say but this hits a sore spot with me. Being from Alabama people often assume I am racist, so I understand people being prejudiced about you by where you are from. Although I am sure that some of christians from lebanon feel for the palenstians(people of all faiths all over the world do as well), but that does not make them members of hezbollah.
From what I understand christains in lebanon already dont have it easy because of harassment. So I doubt they appreciate being lumped in with terrorists who are diametrically opposed to who they are.

It would be like the FBI starting a war on everyone from alabama because the KKK is strong there. That would never happen though, too many racist FBI agents, I remember there was an article a few years ago talking about a video tape showing a racist rally that was made up of all law enforcement officers including alabama fbi agents.

But if it did I would be just as offended as a Lebanese christian is today. I know strange words from an atheist, but even though I dont believe in a god, I am fair minded enough to be against religious oppression.
People should be free to believe what they want!
